About us

The association has set up a museum collection of Children's art with the support of prominent representatives of Hungarian contemporary art, art teachers, museum professionals, art historians and families who advocate children art activities. All children's art work is valuable and we welcome them all over the world. Art experts of the trustees have a look the received works and after their opinion these go to one of the different themed collections. This is the way to grow the First Hungarian Museum of Children's art steadily. So far, from 7 countries the thousands of works received, which we digitize, cataloge and preserve. Beside the permanent virtual space, recognized hungarian art galleries and museums have been presented children art works in different parts of the country (Gyula, Kecskemét, Budapest). Our thematic collections include adult-child couples collection, their pieces were presented with great success in Kecskemét Art Gallery.

            We are happy to let you know the paintings sent through Matyas Gutai reached us today, I personally met Maytas this afternoon at the train station and collected them. There were all together 34 paintings.

Thank you so much for organizing a workshop in Kecskemet that led to the emergency of these amazing children's works.

Workshop and exhibition at Kecskemet


We are pleased to see that the aim of Kanagawa Biennial World Children's Art Exhibition is like ours to support the freedom of children's talent and creativity. Based on your application requirements we are organizing an all day open workshop in Kecskemét, Hungary on the 20th of October 2012 to support children in making art works and participating of your exhibition.

We would like to provide the children an inspiring environment with photos, objects of portraits and landscapes from all over the world and recall the atmosphere of Japan where youngsters can use all different art materials freely and free of charge for their projects what finally we are going to send to your application. UNESCO offered to give the most active children valuable certificates. At the moment we have the following helpers at this occation: Hungary-Japan Friendship Association, TIT, Country Houston Language School, Allwater Kft. and artist, art historians, educators.


Gyermekművészeti nap a Kanagawa nemzetközi rajzpályázathoz

  Szappanos István festőművész, nyugalmazott tanszékvezető tanár

Program: 9.000-17.00 -ig  A Tudomány és Technika Háza (volt Zsinagóga ) belső terében egyidejűleg több aktivitásra is sor kerül.



Nyitott gyermekművészeti alkotó műhely
  Az épületben a művészeti munkához szükséges kellékekkel és felszereléssel
  alkotóteret alakítunk ki a gyermekeknek. A tér használata ingyenes. A művészeti
  támogatást Szappanos István, Király György festőművészek és a Múzeum
  támogatói körének művészei adják.

Családi kör. Az óvodás korú gyermekek és családjuk számára kialakított tér.

Barátság fala -- Nyitott gyermek portré fotó kiállítás, melyet a gyermekek helyszínen
  készített alkotásaival folyamatosan építünk tovább. A kiállított fotókon
  Indiában, Thaiföldön, Japánban, Dél Afrikában, Székelyföldön és másutt
  készített alkotások láthatóak.

A képek ezt követően 2 hétig megtekinthetőek mindenki számára.

Nemzetközi pályázat korábbi pályamunkáiunkák lesznek láthatóak, illetve azok helyezhetik
el "névjegyüket " akiknek munkáját postázzuk. tt alakít ki hangulatos
teret a japán-magyar barátság jegyében a helyi egyesület .
